I grew up in the eighties and I remember lots of music from that decade. I was curious to know what everyone's favorite ballads from that decade were. Some of mine include: "Carrie" by Europe, "Take My Breath Away" by Berlin, "Careless Whisper" by Wham" "crazy for you" by Madonna "Is this Love" by Whitesnake and lots more.

My favorite is one you've probably never heard of, but, it's great.

"Never been to me" by charlene.

Hey Bob, I remember that one. Let's see. There are so many. One by Toto is "You know I can't Hold You Back Now." Hall and Oats did several, but for a ballad, my favorite is probably "One on One." The Allen Parsons Project did one called "time." Funny thing is I was playing in clubs back then, and looking back on it, all the ones I liked were the songs I played. Great topic! Thanks!
